F3 Engineering Posts Second Perfect Quality Score

F3 Engineering, an aerospace industry engineering and manufacturing company, has posted a second perfect Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS) scores during its AS9100 quality audit. This most recent audit is part of the AS9100 three-year recertification process, and the second time F3 has achieved a perfect survey score within one certification period.

Paterson, NJ - F3 Engineering, an aerospace industry engineering and manufacturing company, has posted a second perfect Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS) scores during its AS9100 quality audit. This most recent audit is part of the AS9100 three-year recertification process, and the second time F3 has achieved a perfect survey score within one certification period. Introduced in 1997 by the Society of Automotive Engineers, the AS9100 Standard evolved to include all major aerospace, aviation and defense manufacturers, with the purpose of achieving significant industry improvements in quality, on-time delivery and safety, as well as reductions in cost throughout the value stream.

According to Stanley Cherkasky, managing partner of Change Management Consulting, Inc. (CMC) and a member of the ANAB Accreditation Council, this achievement is indicative of F3's robust quality management system and its ability to provide premiere products and services. CMC assisted F3 in earning its AS9100 certification.

"This is an unprecedented achievement," Cherkasky said. "A perfect score indicates that F3 has in place a model quality management system, one that is robust and scalable to accommodate their impressive growth."

In the past several months, F3 has announced its intent to add 100 jobs to the roster over the next five years, due largely to the recent receipt of departments of defense contracts including the addition of depot services, which involves inspecting and repairing support equipment that was damaged in use in the military theater.

With more than 95 percent of its contracts dedicated to military avionics including ships and aircraft carriers F3 continues to work with the U.S. Navy, Marines, Army and Air Force as well as commercial customers to integrate its technologies into applications that help sustain and mitigate shock load. "F3's perfect OASIS score speaks volumes of the firm's commitment to quality and building customer loyalty," Cherkasky added. "Their passion for exceeding customer expectations is embraced by not only its senior staff, but every employee in the organization."

The annual audits look at a variety of processes involving a company's quality management system including a commitment to continual improvement, meeting customer and regulatory requirements, establishing and meeting quality policies and objectives, conducting management reviews and providing necessary resources.

"We have been very fortunate to be able to anticipate and respond to the needs of our customers in an ever-evolving industry," said Odilo Vazquez, F3 Engineering president. "We look forward to continually improving our processes and working with both our military and commercial clients to provide the highest-quality products and services."

F3's AS9100 recertification will be up for renewal in December 2012.
